Our PTA General Membership Meeting this evening allowed parents to listen to a wonderful musical performance by 4th and 5th grade led by Dr. Day, and learn about school lunches and breakfasts from Mrs. Griffin, County Child Nutrition Director. Thank you to all who came to support our PTA this evening.

We will practice the Lockdown part of ALICE on Wednesday afternoon. This week we are discussing all components of ALICE to help our students be prepared in the event of a true emergency. 2nd grade jumped into A Season of Change, the first module in our reading curriculum.

Steenrod Back to School Night was a blast! We loved seeing so many smiling faces and cannot wait until next Tuesday for the first day of school!











Attention all parents of incoming Pre- K, Kindergarten and 2nd grade students:
All Kindergarten students are required by law, to have their booster shots, which consists of a DPT, Polio, MMR and Varicella vaccine. These vaccines are to be completed after the 4th birthday and are required for enrollment in Kindergarten. It is also required that proof of a current physical and dental exam is submitted to your child’s school for all Kindergarten students.
All Pre-K and 2nd grade students are required to have proof of a current physical and dental exam submitted to your child’s school for the 23/24 academic school year.
Immunizations records, copies of physicals and proof of dental exams may be faxed (304-243-0357) or dropped off to the school office.
