Steenrod uses a two-pronged approach to behavior. First, we use positive supports to acknowledge desired behavior. Then, we use tally charts to note undesirable behavior and determine interventions to encourage more positive behavior.

The holiday season is quickly approaching. There are several area agencies reaching out to us who would like to help as many families as possible this year. We know everybody could use a little assistance this time of year, but unfortunately, we can only submit 25 names. If you would like your child to be on this list, please complete this very confidential google form by October 19th. Mrs. Rebecca will then contact you to verify information. All students listed must reside in Ohio County.

Our PBIS program challenges students to be STAR Cardinals- Safe, Trustworthy, Accountable and Respectful. Each week, students are acknowledged for their positive behaviors through Cardinal Cash and reward recess. At the end of each month we recognize students in grades 1-5 who have had ZERO tallies/infractions.
Congratulations to our September STAR Cardinals!
