This yearly tradition for fourth grade combines community service, math and a night at Target! They started collecting money in November, collaborating with one another to create a shopping list and stay in budget to purchase gifts for two children through the Salvation Army. Thanks to their teachers Ms. Hohman and Ms. Craig for coordinating.

Join us! Books and Bingo Night starts at 6:00 p.m. in the gym with a brief PTA meeting followed by our big reveal of the Masked Readers! After that, stay for books, bingo and prizes. The big basket will be the prize at the final bingo game. Pizza and water will be sold. We can't wait to spend some time with our fabulous families!

Students are off tomorrow as we remember and give thanks to our veterans. Today's Veterans Day assembly was a special way to honor these brave men and women and thank them for their service. Sgt. Andrea Gump spoke to our students about the military and her experiences, and we were happy to have Jacob and Jimmy's mom on hand to livestream the program to their dad who is currently deployed.

Officer Moore and Virgil came to first grade today to teach the students about what police officers and their K9’s do!

The holidays can be a stressful time for many of us, especially when it comes to providing gifts for our families. If your family could use an extra blessing from one of our area agencies who offer holiday assistance, please click on the link and fill out the confidential form completely. You may include all children in your family, including those who are not Steenrod students. While Steenrod would love to offer this support to all our families, we have a limited number of spots. Once the form is completed, Mrs. Rebecca will contact you with further details.
